For instance, does the narcoleptic sleep-flying first mentioned strange bird represent only Justice Thomas, or is this big cheese a stand-in for the Pontiff Himself? Could the ineffectual snipe be standing in for.the usually out-voted Justice Breyer? If so, how will the latter accomplish this cartoon's conclusion, in which the pelican is tethered to a flag pole, only capable of turning left?
