Boring

Warning: Spoilers
Love the series. I'm doing a re-watch right now for the first time since the show ended. This came up as episode 0 in season 4 in the streaming service I have. Sorry, but it is boring af.

There's no plot. Just everyone kind of going off on their own doing whatever. They all look, and/or are too young for some of the stuff here. Tootie and Nat spend the entire episode hanging around some old alcoholic man(stranger) trying to help him write. Jo is off hooking up with some french guy she barely knows. Blair is looking for romance. At one point there was some guy that looked way too old that was romancing her. Mrs. Garrett was off trying to become some kind french cuisine chef. All boring af. I really wanted to see them bond with each other on some crazy fun adventure

I think the problem is, (besides there is no plot), is that they separated everyone. The reason the series was so successful is because of the interactions between the girls, the banter, the fun, the problems, and the caring that existed between them. Not to mention, the importance of Mrs. Garrett as their mentor, and her fun interactions with them. They really should have been together on one adventure with an actual plot. They could have still had romance and other little individual subplots, with one main plot/adventure.

The other problem is that there wasn't any kind of soundtrack. You know how music sets the ambiance to indicate humor, sadness, fast-moving scenes, etc. Well, there was nothing here. I mean the girls in their few scenes together did have a few quick-witted lines with each other that should have been funny, but it fell flat because there was nothing to emphasize that.

Anyway, I guess this is for very extreme die-hard fans who may be ok with seeing the characters off in individual settings. I don't think it captured the spirit of the show. 3/10.
