This movie is not historically correct, but just a screen play based on a semblance of historical facts. It is one of the first Errol Flynn Olivia DeHavilland movies directed by Michael Curtiz that I ever watched. I did not see it in the movie theater, It was already an old movie when I watched it on TV. It made me want to see other Errol Flynn movies. Santa Fe Trail has a lot of big stars in it, The only issue I have now is that it needs restoration. In its heyday Santa Fe Trail was a huge hit for Warner Brothers.
