A family is moving to grandmother's home for a while . The daddy , Phillip (Dennis Weaver) is angry and not good fun. The mummy , Laura (Valerie Harper) is worried about living with her own mother (Ruth Gordon) , but she hopes that this will be the opportunity to forget Jennifer's death , a former daughter who died at a car crash . There are also two children, the sensitive Mary (Robin Ignico), who has suffered from the most terrible recurring nightmare caused for a previous accident , and naughty little boy Kevin (Oliver Robins), who enjoys scaring his sister. As soon son they arrive at house , strange events occuring , bizarre appearances and creepy happenings .
