When mom (kathy bates) loses her job, she moves the family of six kids to oregon. And somehow manages to corral a house, with just promises of labor. Stories of a family growing up poor, out in the country. Co-stars ed furlong and soon tek oh. The trials and tribulations of barely getting by, but with honesty and hard work from the whole family. It's good ! It feels like someone's own childhood story, growing up on the fringes. No twists or surprises here, just someone's own story about having to be a kid, as well as the man of the house.
