Gregory hines died way too young at age 57. He made this one at age 43. Here, he plays max, just released from prison. Now he needs to find work, and he's considering all options. And he does have many options... the legal ones, and the less than legal ones. He meets up with old friends from his tap dance days, and they want him to come back and perform. Sammy davis is little mo, retired dancer. Features some great, short bits by talented performers harold nicholas, etta james, among others. A couple great performances by hines himself.
