It Could Been Better Than This

Warning: Spoilers
The series takes place ten years after Revenge of the Sith. Where we find an older Obi-Wan Kenobi who is guilt-stricken man still haunted about his former apprentice/friend, Anakin turned to the dark side. Meanwhile the Inquisitor are hunts surviving Jedi's including him. He must rescue Senator Bail adopted 10-year-old daughter, Princess Leia (who's Luke twin sister).

First, I will tell the good stuff about the show. Bringing back Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi who went from broken man to the Obi-Wan everyone remembers. James Earl Jones return as voice of Darth Vader. They brought a more terrifying version of Vader we never seen in the Original Star Wars Movies until Rogue One at the end. Ewan and Moses Ingram did a good job for their performances.

We finally had flashback of Obi-Wan and Anakin, but I didn't expect be flashback from before Attack of the Clones instead of the Clone Wars. The CGI de-aged of Anakin was not good enough. They tried to make Hayden Christensen looks like how used to look in Attack of the Clones as teenage Anakin (aged 19). But he still looks older (he's at his early 40s).

Now here is the bad part. They didn't need Leia in the entire show, because they turned it into her show. First of all, she acted too grow instead of act like child. Second, she never met Obi-Wan she heard of him, but she never met him. And finally, why did she never remember all of this. They ruined Princess Leia character however she still how she was in the original film trilogy. This series title is Obi-Wan Kenobi not Princess Leia. The episodes are poorly written, and some scenes don't make any sense (for example: Reva goes after Luke and tries to kill him). They made Mandalorian show look epic. They only got three episodes that were good episode 3, 5 & 6. This was because they were focus on Obi-Wan & Darth Vader and less Leia. If they are making Season Two, they need to hired better writers like Dave Filoni (who wrote The Mandalorian, Star Wars Clone Wars & Rebels) who understand Star Wars lore & seen both six films & television.

I not trying to say I dislike the limited series, but it could've been better. It got good later on, so it mediocre at best. I hope it will be Season Two soon to see what Obi-Wan next adventure will be.
