Like a lot of people, I love a good unsolved mystery and the D. B. Cooper case has always intrigued me. It's one of the most brazen crimes ever committed, but also one of the most impressive in its perfect planning and flawless execution.
I therefore expected to love this Netflix docu-series doing a deeper dive into the case, and into the identity of the mysterious D. B. Cooper. But I was disappointed - this isn't the detailed look at the case I was expecting. Instead there's one half-decent episode that focusses on the case and three filled with ridiculous conspiracies, delusional, self-important private investigators and some loopy Cooper fanboys.
I watched the whole thing, but wish I'd stopped after the first episode. As a standalone episode, it would have been okay. Instead Netflix tried to string it out as a mini-series, and it was pretty awful.
