Are people watching the same film?

Looking through reviews here, it seems everyone jumps to "worst movie ever" on imdb if they don't like something. I think people don't have an attention span anymore.

I see complaints of this being slow and boring, and that "nothing is happening" and can't help but wonder what movie they were watching. Sure this film leans more into the drama than the horror, but that's why this film works for me. We actually care about the characters before the inevitable jump scares kick in.

The acting is way above the standard quality I'm used to seeing in Found Footage films, so that's a plus. And sure, Sestero comes across as a tad hammy, but he's fun, so I just went along for his wacky ride. The opening exorcism is also questionable but it's also unclear as to whether it's intentionally that way and meant to be a fake set-up by Wes for his show, which keeps things interesting.

Overall, it's nice to see filmmakers treating the audience as if they're not dumb. Ignore anyone telling you not to watch this, and make up your own mind. It takes you on a fun journey.
