7/10
Over the top and sometimes recognisable
25 August 2022
It's lighthearted, sometimes a bit cringe, but overall entertaining.

The pro's are definitely the accuracies and topic that is tends to address. Overbearing parents and judging aunties, but it sometimes struggles to stick to what it is: a romcom from adults or a cheesy teenage movie. The latter parts could make some think, why am I watching this, To 5min later burst out laughing at some desi (South Asian joke).

The characters aren't really fleshed out and sometimes can be a bit 2D, but the movie is not meant to be serious. The plot (if you can call it that) was clear since the beginning. So that is what this review is about.

Do you want something that you can watch on the sofa after a day work or whilst cooking; this is your movie.
