This looks great on paper - the list of stars is long and there's a lot of talent in it. However ....
It starts out fine. And then rapidly goes downhill.
How someone who is a pathological liar who steals from other people (the restaurant) and thinks it's fun can be considered the perfect mate, is beyond me.
Christopher Noth was WAAAAAAY over the top - flat out slapstick in his facial looks. I've never seen his acting so horrible. I blame the director.
The end of the film was not at all "cute". It was ridiculous. Shirley MacLaine was a fool. I'm sorry - I found absolutely nothing endearing about their reenactment in the fountain. In fact, it was totally creepy. Would have fit better into "What Ever Happened To Baby Jane".
All in all, this was basically a hot mess. A waste of time. I cringe when I think about it. How sad.
