Based on the aztec empire, then they go in to the future, casting is ok, acting and direction is so bad. Fighting scenes are so boring. Movies does not do any justice to the book which it is based on. Plot is irrelevant when your story does not deliver on any level.
The plot here brings Aztec thinkers and warriors into a contemporary setting, if only briefly in this first issue. The dialogue and long portions of text at front and back are stiff. They seem to be aiming for an "All Ages" type style, but are plagued by errors and underwhelming content. At first glance, the art seems to be of a professional level, but as it continues proves to be as stiff as the written word. Figures are lifeless and there is no compliment of panel design to the action. It is hard to defend comics like this in 2022 and I won't try.
