The Eternal Birdies
1 December 2022
An atypical and unexpected film joining Pasolini and Totó in a parable about the inequalities in the world and the human inability to change, thus condemning oneself to eternal poverty and injustice.

Despite the fatalism of the message and the seriousness of the theme, the work is transmitted full of irony and even of poetry, to which the tragicomic figure of Totó contributes a lot.

An intelligent and amusing story served in a beautiful cinematography in black and white by Delli Colli (who, in addition to Pasolini's usual cinematographer, also signed the masterpieces of Sergio Leone, among others).

A soft Pasolini that doesn't lose qualities for that.
