Plot is everything in a story. Without a strong plot, your story will fall flat and fail to engage readers. Emergence is a perfect example of this. The plot here is weak and fails to deliver on any level. The dialogue is stiff and the long portions of text at front and back are incredibly dull. It seems like the creators were aiming for an "All Ages" type story, but it falls short due to the poor writing and art. The figures are lifeless and the panel design does nothing to compliment the action. In short, this comic is a mess and a complete waste of time. However, Emergence is proof that there's more than one way to tell a story - not all stories need to be told through rigid plot lines. Total waste of my time.
