Warning: Spoilers
Do you still remember when we used to look for special edition DVD and Blu-Ray, just to get the collector's bonus disk of our favourite shows? Well, this series was made like several bonus tracks from "Zootopia" (2016).

The main idea is to tell what happened before, during and after the main show with some side characters. The episodes are produced with the same visual and animation quality as the original film, so there's no break in the immersion. They also used the same voice actors and a matching musical score, so the production is perfect.

On a side note, I have to comment on another review, which complained that on the first episode, which has Judy's parents stunt-driving along Zootopia in an old pick-up truck, they passed through places they couldn't have (through a water body and whatnot). Well, Judy did that in the original film, didn't she? In the final arc, she gets that exact same truck and goes driving back to apologise and ask for help to Nick. Surely, there are bridges or tunnels crossing whatever water pond there's on Zootopia, kind of like in "real life"... If realism is required, then it could have been argued that such an old truck couldn't have matched the speed of the train (and that looks like a pretty fast train!), but that's conjectural (who knows, maybe Judy's parents are Zootopia's all-time off-road racing champions with a modded twin-turbo nitro-boosted engine running under that old hood...)

Back to the main track, I have to admit that the series is not perfect. The scripts are the weakest point. Aside from being too short, the producers didn't dare interfering with the original film's story, so no risks were taken. The plots are unconnected and don't go beyond the film's chronology in any important way. In other words, they extended the film sideways, instead of forth or backwards, what is seen, for example, on "Zootopia: Crime Files" game for mobile devices, which plays with the daily adventures of Judy and Nick in the ZPD (unfortunately, also not daring to interfere with the character's personal lives and extend their lores beyond their jobs.)

So, if you didn't expect "Zootopia+" to be "Zootopia 2", you'll be entertained with this series, otherwise, you may find yourself disappointed and blaming it for not being what you expected.

All in all, I'm very happy to have more of one of my favourite shows to watch, and can only complain that there's not much more!
