REALLY Bad

Warning: Spoilers
I had a choice between watching the original European version or watching this one. And I was dumb enough to believe a reviewer who said the US version is far superior to the Danish version.

What a lie THAT turned out to be. They really should re-title this series "Thrillers for Dummies." For example: In the pilot, the trained police officer opens her door and lets the serial killer jump in and attack her. In the real world, police officers have peep holes on their doors and most likely video surveillance as well.

NO ONE engaged in a dangerous career casually opens their front door without double-checking. So that was an unforgivable stunt.

Then, what appears to be a psycho professor fails to immediately unlock the pseudo-coffin the main character is imprisoned in. And the female cop is like, no problem. Once again, in the REAL world, you pull a stunt like that and don't be surprised if you're pistol-whipped (at a minimum).

I think, in an effort to mimic the Danish version, the US main character smokes. But it seems so out of place. So . . . Weak.

And that's my main problem with the US version: The main character is WAY too timid. THAT character doesn't deserve the position she's in. Real police officers do not hang out at bars. It's far too dangerous. They do their drinking at home. Any police officer who drinks in public is inviting criminals with a grudge to tee off on them once their reaction time has been slowed down.

I tried to watch the second episode but the portrayals on the screen were so ludicrous I gave up.

I'm now going to download the European version and give that a go. ANYTHING is better than this crap.
