So The Golden Globes is the dumb version of the Oscar's, and The People's Choice Awards is the dumb version of the Golden Globes. The band Poison is the dumb version of Motley Crue and the band Warrant is the dumb version of Poison. So Leviathan is the dumb version of John Carpenter's The Thing, this movie the Rift is the dumb version of Leviathan. That being said, the Oscar's is a joke and so is Motley Crue, and while included in these comparisons and equivilancies John Carpenter's The Thing is legitimately a great movie, my point is don't confuse The Thing with these other mediocrities mentioned.
