Worst espionage/war film ever possibly ever made. There's few times that I watch a war film and feel it's so bad that I must write a review saying so, this is one of those films, factually wrong in nearly every way, acting is terrible bordering on the ridiculous, there is very little I'd recommend about the film,
I didn't understand the casting of an American in a major part, I think he may of been dubbed but became so bad I started to not even listen.
Being made in 1969 I thought it would of been a decent accurate depiction, they instead went for story line of having a mini romance dumped into the scenes, I can only recommend if you watch take it with a large pinch of salt, laugh at the ludicrous script and casting and take as a farce/comedy. It's not a film I will ever watch again and I hope will never be broadcast again.
I'd prefer watching the classic Dunkirk with John Mills and other stars of that age.
