Totally not scary but too creepy. Some horrofic sceneries, some goofy. Some western horror refferences - very reminiscene of other horror movies and series. Some are creatively new and different. Different stories in each episodes, some episodes may have 2 shorts - so the run time was not fixed. Quality of the animation was legitly good, very classic hand drawn animation. The scores were terrific, setting up a very chilling vibe and halloween-ish tone.
Characters designs are simple, although i found the blank eye parts to be very creepy. Voice castings were great and totally suit the characters. Very compelling performances. Having a mixed feelings with original songs especially the intro, love the ending song tho. Same casts being used in several stories/shorts - which was a great decision in order to keep the originality of the universe.
