There is confusion on how the bad guys think they can get what they want. This is a smuggling ring where women are on the market to be sold. The head of the ring decides he wants Amanda for himself and thinks she is perfect because she can train the other women. This is not Taken where explain breaking a captive. Without explanation they assume she can "train" these women, be a mother figure to them. Do they think she will be agreeable and go along with them and join their cause?
