Pryde of the X-Men (1989 TV Movie)
6/10
Cute pilot

Pryde of the X-Men is an animated TV pilot that provides a glimpse into the world of Marvel's mighty mutants. Although it has a certain charm to it, the animation quality and voice acting are not up to par with what one would expect from the X-Men franchise.

The story follows the young Kitty Pryde, who joins the X-Men in their fight against Magneto and his Brotherhood of Mutants. The plot is fairly straightforward and is mostly used as a vehicle to showcase the different characters and their powers.

The animation quality in Pryde of the X-Men is noticeably rough, which is highlighted by the fact that the show was created in the 1980s. The animation is not as refined as later adaptations of the series, but it does have an endearing quality that adds to its overall charm.

The voice acting in the show is average at best. While some of the actors do a decent job in bringing their characters to life, the overall quality is not as high as one would expect from a Marvel production. The voice acting is passable, but does not do the characters justice.
