Scary or Die (2012)

Cheap Horror

Scary or Die (2012) is a horror anthology film that fails to deliver on almost every front. The movie consists of five loosely connected segments that are supposed to be scary but end up being nothing more than a borefest.

The first segment, "The Crossing," is about a group of illegal immigrants who are attacked by a murderous vigilante. The story feels forced and lacks any real tension or scares. The acting is wooden, and the script is full of cliches and predictable twists.

The second segment, "Lover Come Back," is about a woman who comes back from the dead to seek revenge on her cheating boyfriend. This segment tries to be both romantic and scary but fails miserably at both. The acting is once again subpar, and the story lacks any real depth or originality.

The third segment, "The Hood," is about a group of gangsters who encounter a voodoo queen. This segment is full of racial stereotypes and does nothing to add to the overall plot of the movie. The voodoo queen's powers are never fully explained, and the ending is unsatisfying.

The fourth segment, "Clowned," is about a serial killer who dresses up as a clown. This segment is easily the best of the five, but that's not saying much. The story is predictable, and the scares are cheap and unoriginal.

The final segment, "Re-Membered," is about a man who discovers a magical potion that brings his dead wife back to life. This segment is the weakest of the five, with terrible acting and an unconvincing storyline.

Overall, Scary or Die fails to deliver on its promise of being a scary horror anthology film. The stories are poorly written, the acting is subpar, and the scares are cheap and unoriginal. Save yourself the time and skip this one.
