The script was Dead On and I mean it ... until the ending where vindictive life meets truth, head on and like the man says, "you can't handle the truth."
So, true feelings, flit away due to some trivial life social status "stations" assigned to people by chance, choice or happen stance?
Not so fast here, central theme of focus characters met under unusual circumstances, kept the comedic situation rolling via another "I Know Who You Are" misunderstanding (a la Pink Panther era scripting), yet the hoped for happy ending gets the reality boot? Who doesn't like the movie which cannot decide to be true to its comedic theme, turn strangely into a "this is reality philosophic wake-up call", and leave a perfect tragi-comedy, Flat on its face?
Me. Somebody Senior in the writing pool missed the Rewrite Session.
Rated 7 due to excellent cast, set and photography, directing and just great scripting until last five minutes of muddled, " how should this thing end."
