Having not heard from her daughter Rebecca for years, Blanche is ecstatic to receive a note fro m Rebecca, who's arranged a visit, with her new fiancé Jeremy.
This is a classic, it has some very funny moments, but the story itself had a truly realistic element.
As someone that used to be a very, very big guy, 29 stone to be precise, it cannot be helped, people that haven't seen you for some time can't help but stare, especially if you've gained, that's true to life.
Sophia is a little harsh at times, even a little cruel, but she's never been one to be shy and reserved. Her showdown with her boss was hilarious, you can only imagine what The Chow Wagon was like.
I absolutely loved that scene where Blanche finally snapped, Jeremy was absolutely loathsome, she tried to do her best for her daughter by saying nothing, it was great to see Blanche try to save her daughter, it was a story that felt true to life.
