Quick Change (1990)

Not quite an underseen gem, but maybe an underseen curiosity.

This is pretty decent, but it definitely doesn't excel or feel particularly consistent, so in that way, I kind of understand why it's a little obscure.

It starts off feeling like a broadly comedic take on Dog Day Afternoon, and then turns into a very silly Kafkaesque story where everything that could go wrong does. It's fun enough in its best moments, but there's something missing (well, maybe many things missing) that hold it back from being something great, or something I could call truly underrated.

It has the novelty of being the only film Bill Murray's ever been credited with directing, so it's pretty easy to recommend to anyone who likes his movies and/or sense of humor (he of course also stars, alongside Geena Davis, who's quite good here, and Randy Quaid, who kind of isn't).
