This is a stupid reality show that pits people against each other to create "drama" and has all the contestants woefully underprepared for the challenges they face. This show has very little intelligence about it, and does nothing to build wonderment about exploring a new world. It's just more overly dramatised, artificially inflated human interactions designed to make a quick buck whilst appealing to the dumb masses who need their daily dose of trash.
The fact that a contestant gets voted off each episode is the lamest thing about the show. You don't get voted out on Mars. You get exiled to suffocation and death. Considering how long the round trip with Earth is, and how expensive it is to send things to Mars, there will be no extraction. You dead!!! Guess someone decided that that doesn't make for good TV. F%$* this world.
Also, as far as we have learned, Mars is a dead cold desert with absolutely nothing to offer colonisers in the long term. We should colonise space around our planet first, maybe the Moon, learn how to survive for extended periods in space, then start to expand outwards.
