Jules (Maika Monroe) and Mickey (Bill Skarsgård) have a dream of going to Florida and finding seashells and selling them to tourists. In order to get the start-up capital they rob convenience stores. After robbing their last store they run out of gas. They want to steal another car and break into a home to do so. In looking for the keys to their vehicle or even a hose and gas can, they discover a little girl (Blake Baumgartner) chained up in the basement. When the owners George (Jeffrey Donovan) and Gloria (Kyra Sedgwick) show up, things become odd and awkward as both have secrets to hide and don't want the police.
The film was a dark comedy but more of a suspense thriller. Our protagonists are robbers who have substance issues. Fun film. Not too deep.
