As a child of the 80s, I religiously watched G. I. Joe every afternoon. I had the toys, i drank the Kool-Aid.
I became interested in this iteration of G. I. Joe, due to the voice cast. I watched a few episodes before I started writing this, so don't think that I am not invested in it.
Voice cast aside, this is a great premise for the G. I. Joe team, but horrible animation and some weird changes in the lore let it down. Duke, as leader of the Joes, was an e-8, or master sergeant. Scarlett was an e-5, a sergeant. Flint was not an LT, but an e-6 Staff Sergeant. They got Lady Jaye right; as an E4 her secondary specialty was personnel.
Given the A-Team-type of story line and the stellar voice cast, it could have been something. Too bad.
