It was a party
3 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The film opens with a bad teaser. Tess (Maggie Q) is ex-special forces and teaches self-defense in elementary school. She is 6 months sober and hates the world. She is snarky and bitter. She does not get along with her sister Beth (Kat Foster) but they tolerate each other. Their sister Rose (Highdee Kuan) is having a bachlorette party at their parents remote house as the film has all the elements of a cabin-in-the-woods film including the stop at the store with a confrontation along the way. Tess is moody and aloft as an arrow pierces the chest of one of the girls.

Our protagonist was not exciting and lacked personality. The party and build-up was not good.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.
