Rayman Origins (2011 Video Game)
10/10
Better Than Legends For It's More Happier Tone
4 August 2023
While The 2010s had a lot of mean-spirited comedies that make you want to vomit whenever you think of them (The Mighty B, Sidekick, Scaredy Squirrel, Free Birds, Bordertown, The Emoji Movie) They're also been surprising a lot of heartwarming Uplifting titles that makes you happy cry whenever you think of them (Pink Panther and Pals, Squid Girl, Madoka Magica, Mr. Bean: The Animated Series, Storks, Lu Over The Wall) and luckily Rayman Origins happens to fall in the latter category.

The whole atmosphere will make you so happy....you could cry happy tears. This is so evident in the soundtrack, the nymphs, the animation, and Rayman and friends' intentions to go on the quest they are sent to do. Extremely uplifting beats from the iconic Glacier Cocktail and the world map are textbook examples of happy music. In fact, the music is on the same level as Banjo-Kazooie's soundtrack as it is also an uplifting tone. The Nymphs are also fun characters. Make ya wish we got more Nymph media after this and that Charmed episode. The animation is also very expressive and fun to look at for a 2D Game.

I did like Rayman Legends, but I prefer this for it's happier tone.
