If a film went off the radar unable to get the recognition it deserved, then i am be inclined to believe this would be high on that list. Multiplicity shows a man in need of more time because of his hectic married lifestyle and non stop workload. Michael Keaton is exceptional, as the Dougs. This particular movie shows his acting range and versatility, each clone appears to have their own personality and above all else this film is funny. Keaton is able to portray the characters with such charisma its hard not to like, or near on impossible.
Story-wise it requires little complication and the continuity is pretty sharp considering each Doug is wearing different attires. You can refer to other career highlights of Keaton such as Beetlejuice, The Founder, Batman and Birdman yet, in my book this is right up their with them. I have to say i cannot help think of the times I managed to watch this with somebody new who hadn't seen it. Each time they would be pleasantly surprised at the outcome. No more needs to be said jusy enjoy this great comedy unfold, but above all else enjoy an early Michael Keaton masterclass.
