The lead character here is the meanest, most miserable, self centered jerk doing everthing possible to ruin her family's life. The actress portraying her has one facial expression for every situation. You may not ever see a poorer job of acting.
The rest of the family is played by some great actors though. Steve Buscemi is, as always, absolutely spot on.
This totally horrible trainwreck is a must watch.... just so you can appreciate all the well written and acted movies out there.
