This might be the first series I have ever watched that truly felt like a chore to get through, even more than She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel. I can honestly say that I did not enjoy a single episode of Secret Invasion.
Olivia Coleman and Kingsley Ben-Adir were standouts, but both characters were underused. I liked seeing more of Ben Mendelsohn's Talos, but I didn't care about the rest of the story.
The entire concept of this series is interesting, but underdeveloped. The whole "Who is a Skrull?" thing really undermines these characters and left me frustrated. During the final episode, I was curious how Nick Fury was going to pull everything off. The result (no spoilers) was underwhelming.
