. . . boring subject, much to the detriment of AESOP AND SON: THE HARES AND THE FROG. Throwing in a lion, bear, fox and skunk do little to spiff up the plot here. These characters' motivations remain murky, with their actions and reactions largely inexplicable. It all reminds me of this college dude who took a graduate course in comparative animal psychology his senior year. This class was such a snooze fest that he frequently slept through the alarm signalling the 8:30 AM session was starting in half an hour. However, the professor was too obtuse to understand that the bubbling of a roommate's aquarium kept lulling him back to sleep.
