Awesome movie! I was caught from the first moment. No intro, no heavy music, no ship sailing with it's captain justifying the court-martial. What is this? My final conclusion, one of the best movies ever. Just by the introduction of the characters and their lines you can see what happened on that naval ship. Also very nice to see Mr. Friedkin at work as a stern but compassionate judge. And the twist at the end, a priceless display, shows you just how intelligent this movie is. And it's definitely not a some remake of a few good men. What struck me as confusing was the high number of high ranking officers at the party in the closing scene. Maybe there is some explanation? Somebody?
