Justice League: War (2014 Video)
7/10
Not be the best animated DC picture, and the new look might not appeal to everyone, but there are enough worthwhile elements to make it a must-see for Justice League fans

I recently revisited Justice League: War (2014) on Tubi. The storyline unfolds as the world faces an alien invasion, compelling the world's super heroes to unite, even if they're reluctant to work together.

Directed by Jay Oliva (Batman: Assault in Arkham), the film features the voices of Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings), Shemar Moore (Criminal Minds), Alan Tudyk (I, Robot), Ioan Gruffudd (Fantastic Four), and Kimberly Brooks (DC Super Hero Girls).

This movie delivers a fresh look at our traditional Justice League heroes, and while some character depictions work well, Wonder Woman's new look didn't resonate with me. However, the Cyborg backstory stands out, effectively portraying his upbringing, relationship with his father, and transformation. Shazam's presence is enjoyable, and the action scenes, along with Darkseid as a formidable villain, are highlights. The ending, while a bit cliche, retains that classic Justice League essence.

In conclusion, Justice League: War may not be the best animated DC picture, and the new look might not appeal to everyone, but there are enough worthwhile elements to make it a must-see for Justice League fans. I would give it a score of 6.5/10 and recommend a seeing it once.
