I don't know what to say about this. "Strange" and "weird" are too overused words to describe it and they don't seem enough to point out how unique this movie is. So, before you watch it, i'd suggest to read some of the most well received IMDB reviews. They were pretty helpful to me. If you are still intrigued enough to watch this, give it a chance then.
During the first 15 minutes, i found it too confusing and messy, so my initial thought was to stop watching it. I am glad i didn't. Everything gets clear and i understood what was going on. Of course, suspension of disbelief is required in order to enjoy this, you must convince yourself that this beautiful woman felt in love with this actor. If you can make it, this whole movie is a rewarding experience. It's intense, there is a comedy relief, leading character is likeable and you empathize with him. But the greatest quality here is directing and the cinematography. Visually, it's beautiful. And the ending was strong.
