Hannibal, went in with decently high expectations with its combinations of actors and a interesting story, but came out of it pretty much forgetting it after just a few hours, I had to refresh myself to even write a review and look up my watch history. This could've been so much more.

I know there's a TV show on this that seems decent, and I could see the story being much better for it. Directing here is okay, never great, but sufficient. Music is great with the Zimmer score but besides one scenic moment never really hit it's stride in my opinion.

Acting and writing, this is where the movie misses the most potential. I am a huge Hopkins fan, and what a waste of talent is shown here. Moore is good, Liotta is great too, Oldman is fantastic, but Giannini is underwhelming whilst having quite a bit of screentime. The writing just felt like a lot of filler, but also cutting so many transitions in time that made is chaotic to follow. The way Lecter just teleports everywhere is a massive turn off. There's a lack of realism in the world as well. It just never really landed, the writing for the speeches, the part about the doves, why recall that, twice, and not let it have and character impact.

I don't really have much to say, the horror is decent I guess. This movie just kinda fell flat for me.
