Adulthood continues the story established in Kidulthood where Sam, having served his sentence, comes back home to restart his life.
Where Kid packs a punch Adult is left a little limp.
Gone is the in your face attitude of 'today's teenagers', replaced with some budget wanna be gangsters.
There is some character development and a little nuance but nothing really significant. The characters are mostly existing and nothing more.
Adulthood is an ok sequel that has the main acheivement of allowing the third film of the trilogy to take place and that is a much better movie.
