There should be a legislative initiative that prohibits the production of excessively long films, which steal the audience's (more or less) valuable time. Having said that, I must admit that the acting and production are solid, and the story is interesting, with one exception: at least one hour of the film could easily be cut to improve the pacing, momentum. As other reviewers have indicated, it might be better suited as a mini-series. While I'm fairly certain that Killers of the Flower Moon will receive some Oscars, recent winners don't hold as much weight these days. Many of these movies are just decent, but they stand out among a sea of mediocrity and badness. Don't get me wrong, Killers of the Flower Moon isn't a complete failure or a truly bad movie, but it's far too slow for its own good and simply drags on and on. Verdict: for sure no masterpiece and one of the weaker works of the master Scorsese.
