Outlaw Posse (2024)

Warning: Spoilers
I watched this movie because it was filmed in my state and my friend worked on the set. Some of it (like the main idea of a man who is an outlaw who is a bit of a Robin Hood) is solid. The dialogue is ROUGH and confused about its time period. It jumps from one era to another. The acting is...well, some of them are good and some are not so good.

But what is most difficult for me is the modern sensibilities written over the past (not that there are people of color in the past, that's normal, but the 2024 thoughts and feelings put in the past). The second most difficult part for me is how confusing the story is to where it makes no sense: 1. They go to Nebraska to give Decker one week to find his dad and the gold...then he finds his dad somewhere near Mexico...then they're up near Montana. Traveling is SO HARD BACK THEN. Can't be done in less than months. Montana is huge.

2. They have the posse killing people on their side during fight scenes.

3. The use of Native Americans is offensive. Often racist.

4. Playing the violin. That was rough.

5. Angel. Nothing about him makes sense.

6. Angel sometimes uses his fake left hand as a real hand.

There's more. But it's not worth my time to write down.

This thing is bad. It's hilarious, but bad.
