In my many years of film watching, it's rare to encounter something this disjointed. The plot is an afterthought, the connection to Vietnamese culture is superficial at best, and the acting is reminiscent of early silent films, minus the charm. A significant misfire This film fails to deliver on many fronts, with a storyline that meanders aimlessly, cultural references that feel tacked on rather than integral, and performances that lack the nuance and depth of even the most basic silent era portrayals. What's intended to be a homage or exploration ends up feeling like a disjointed series of scenes lacking coheren.
