Civil War has an interesting plot to it as it does not seem to out of reason that something like this would happen in modern day times. In fact I dare to say it is happening just not on the level of this movie.
However my favorite part of the film was the unexpected character development of Kristin Dust's character. I've seen this trend in a lot of movies lately in which they draw you in with the hot button topic but the movie takes a side step that has less to do with that topic. I've never seen it done so well then right here in this movie Civil War which was mostly a movie about what it takes to be a good journalist and the type of person who has what it takes to be that.
I saw something in the movie I was not expecting and it made me love it more.
