Abigail (2024)
6/10
supernanny where art thou...

Warning: Spoilers
A wild child is reasonably hard to handle, but this ranting little violent vampirella would be a handfull even for the most professionals within the childhandling trade...

its a overly detailed gadget scheme of vampireism with a whole lot of loopholes and glitches on the ''science'' of the undead with long fangs, i love the art departments work, but do not adore the editing skills of the production crew. The musical score do overaid your senses at moments and combine that with an hyperactive plot with a playtime that may feel a bit overstretched, which make you stalling due to all the rise and drops of the action, just like a rollercoaster on steroids.

Also i can manage navigating myself around liplicking actors, that gives a sense of amateurism both from cast and crew.

But if youre a vampire buff, and love dan stevens, i will not unrecommend it, its made with a donkey kong intensity if youre hungry for that, just dont show it on the screen at your family saturday pizza parade cause your ballerina kids demands (from tik-tok) to watch abigail, it aint food for minors, and wealthy on cinematic violence. Just a small recommend from an exhausted grumpy old man.
