This film is worthy of being classed with the notable short stories that have been written around the beloved figure of Abraham Lincoln. Ralph Ince gives a thoroughly satisfying impersonation of Lincoln, both as president and also in the earlier years when he loved Ann Rutledge. The love story is pictured as a reverie by the president while sitting before his fireside. Anita Stewart was graceful and appealing as the ill-fated girl who won Lincoln's heart.
