Warning: Spoilers
Arrested for vagrancy, lazy Rance Lighton ( Art Acord ) is taken to the Rogers Ranch, where Dickie Rogers, an invalid child who is confined to a wheelchair, takes a liking to the stranger. He is given a nickname after an hard of hearing man mistakes the name Lighton for "Lightning. Heir to Dickie's share of the estate in the event of the boy's death, Uncle Henry ( Arthur Morrison ) has been systematically cheated by Bill Harvey ( Rex De Rosselli ) who now threatens Uncle Henry and demands his money. One day Dickie is seen sliding toward a cliff in his wheelchair, but Uncle Henry makes no attempt to save him, and Lightning comes to his rescue. When the boy becomes seriously ill, Uncle Henry sets out to the doctor for a serum needed for the child, mistrusting him, Lightning follows in a driving rainstorm. He learns about Uncle Henry's conspiracy to withhold the serum, fights Harvey and Henry, returns with the serum to save the boy's life. Lightening now wins the love of Lila ( Fay Wray ) Dickie's sister.

This Universal Pictures Western, with a young Fay Wray, now remains a lost silent film.
