  • Sailors sing a bawdy suggestive song.
  • A relationship blossoms between a man and a woman as they fall in love.
  • A young woman inquires of and talks with married women about childbirth and relationships with men in a very 'innocent'/non explicit way. She is asked if she has 'known' or 'lain with' a man and says she is a virgin.

  • There is a severe storm at sea and there is discussion of the possibility of dying.
  • A sailor threatens noisly children and threatens to throw them overboard until a man calmly intervenes.
