Slow, Non-entertainer but a good movie

Warning: Spoilers
I shall begin this with the things that are evidently the reason for this movie not being a popular movie. The plot of the movie can be compared to so many other movies out there and could be considered as genre of extra-marital affairs. The movie is really slow too. It doesn't give you any reason to hang on to the movie till the end.

But on the other hand, I would like to point out that it has been intentionally been slow. The director has put the things as it is, instead of dramatizing it. That also explains scenes involving sexual encounter between R(Seong-kun Mun) and J(Soo-yeon Kang). The scenes are explicit and are used to exemplify implicit nature of both the character.

The characters are are complex and I shall try to describe them. R is a geek and takes time to realize his feelings about others. It took him time to realize that he didn't love his wife. He is stuck with a wife who loves him and their two children. He infatuated J all the time, but he realizes later when that he loves her. R and J, in fact, decided to part their ways and it was then he realized he wanted to be with her. J on the other hand is a girl who doesn't know what she wants. She changes her decision many times without any good reason. R has been complaining to her for her erratic behavior.

The movie actually irritates viewers for R and J act that seems unreasonable. But, they are backed up by a strong character sketching done by the writer.

This movie has been alleged of being copied. But, it is based on a novel. So, the alleges doesn't make sense to me.

The plot starts with R coming back to Korea from France. J receives him at the Airport. R insists on having sex with J from the first day. He wanted to rekindle the moments he had with J in France. But, J avoids it. R happens to have a wife and two kids which becomes known to us when goes home. He doesn't have any emotional attachments with his wife or the kids. He wants a divorce but she is not ready sign the papers. The has a little point of twist when R becomes aware that J has used his literary works to make her own career to attain doctorate. While he had only been a literary critic. The story goes on with how he reacts to this truth.

If you are looking for a movie that is unique(in spite of the plot being similar to other movie) with dialogs, you should watch this movie.
