One of if not my favourite children's show
benjamin-ryan22 February 2006
Every Saturday morning I couldn't wait to wake up and watch Spellbinders 2. Spellbinders 2 screened on TV before the original and because it was the first one to show I thought it was more original than the first one and I enjoyed it more even though at times that spend too much time in one world/realm or another. I thought the story was original and kept me eagerly waiting for more. All I remember the story being about is a young Australian girl and her older brother who somehow travel to different worlds/realms and have adventures. Spellbinders are people who while wearing some suit have powers. Each episode was another amazing adventure some worlds they went to were Ancient China, An opposite world where everything was opposite eg:In the 'real world' there neighbour was a plumber and in the other he was a celebrity and a place where there were these spooky robots with no faces that looked like humans which use to scare me. If you are looking for a great children's show then watch this it is rare but they came out with the first one on DVD so them should be coming out with this one soon hopefully.

I love it! Throwback to my childhood
tom9928 November 2021
Ok the original is better but this second series is a good watch though. I love that ashka is back, but she acts like she's never been to 'our word' even though she's been there in the first series.

One of the Best Children's Series Ever
Agr016 January 2007
This is one of my favorite children's series of all time. The locations, sets, special effects are excellent. This second series of Spellbinders is even better than the first. A teenage girl from the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia and her family trip between parallel worlds having incredible adventures.

The worlds include that of the Dragon Lord, The Mechanicals and a parallel Sydney Australia.

Excellent locations in Sydney, China and Poland. Great cast of Australian and international actors. Sydney looks beautiful with such locations as Manly and what appears to be Narrabeen.

I enjoyed watching this series with my children and eventually watched the first series when it was repeated. I would like to get the second series on DVD when it is available.

If you like Spellbinders you will also like the Australian/New Zealand series of "Mirror Mirror"

Those Golden Days
sakibkus7 September 2018
I had seen this series when I was about 10 years old. I could not remember all the plots, but this is one of my favorite show. The boat-like device which was used to travel between dimension was just awesome. Did not seen the original one before this, so it looked more better. It may not deserve all 10 stars (deserve 8 stars), but as it was my favorite show in childhood, I gave it perfect score. Graphics and sounds may be questionable for today's viewers, but that time it was enough.

Spellbinder season 2 only carried the villians from season 1. Season 2 doesn't have anyone else from the orignal cast of season 1!

I'm totally disappointed in this series. I was hoping to see at least half of the original cast, especially Paul, but nope... doesn't happen in this season 2! Season 2 now also focuses to a younger generation than it previously focused on. So, if you was older enjoying season 1 and move on to season 2, you'd feel like you was watching the news and then decided to watch Sesame Street. It seems the only thing important about Spellbinder series is traveling between dimensions while not keeping the original cast between seasons. I can't believe the director of this TV series would have let all the build up of the characters for season 1 for the next season go down the hole! The worked so hard to create Season 1 and build the characters up that when season 2 comes along, they make the Villains of Season 1 become the new main characters in Season 2!!! WTF???? I can completely understand why there is no season 3. Season 2 completely ruined it!! You'll notice this right as soon as you see the first episode! You'll definitely be sure that the main characters from season 1 does not come back to season 2 after watching up to episode 4! After watching episode 4, I finally decided not to continue watching as I have made up my mind that I will probably never see the cast from season 1 in season 2 based on what they said in episode 4.

Promising start, but it goes off course
abrine13 May 2023
I absolutely loved season 1, but season 2 was far too long.

The first 10-12 episodes were good, albiet a little slow, but it starts to get a little convoluted and hard to follow. It would have worked much tighter as a 13 episode season rather than pad out 26 episodes with nonsensical stories and immature side plots. Meanwhile, other aspects that should be explained in more detail are simply overlooked.

It had such a promising cast including Heather Mitchell, Peter O'Brien, well-known child actor Lauren Hewitt and future superstar Ryan Kwanten, but this series is by no means the best work of any of them.

Much Better than the previous one
Mike_Warrior11 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I always liked the second part better than the previous one, because there are not only two worlds in the game, but the implementation is much more sophisticated and exciting. There is no lack of ingenuity; a lot is added in a positive sense. The Family is also much more personable than the previous one and I think that the parents are included, that didn't harm it. The various Adventures for the kids on the side make everything very varied, you really managed not only to concentrate on one thing, but also to combine several stories in an exciting way. Much more was brought out than in the flawed predecessor, which wasn't bad, but has nowhere near a chance against Land of the Dragon Lord! .
