The family of 19-year-old Penn State student Timothy Piazza is speaking out following his February death after an alleged hazing ritual, blaming the incident on the fraternity members who allegedly pressured their son to consume large amounts of alcohol and then neglected to get help for hours after Timothy fell multiple times.
Timothy’s parents, Jim and Evelyn, and his brother, Mike, sat down with Today’s Matt Lauer on Mother’s Day.
“This wasn’t boys being boys, Matt,” Jim said. “This was men who intended to force feed lethal amounts of alcohol into other young men, and what...

But did the reporter manage to get the truth out of Lee during their heavily hyped TV interview? Did it help Lana that she was a dead (well, live) ringer for the reenactress that her subject had hacked with a meat cleaver? Did Lee even notice that Lana and Audrey could have been twins? Prince Harry Watches Early Contests at His Invictus Games: 'He Has a Natural Affinity with Veterans'
Over breakfast at the Warrior Games in Colorado in 2013, Prince Harry turned to friend David Wiseman and said: "We're going to bring this idea back to the U.K. and make it massive." Now, two years on from the first Paralympic-style Invictus Games in London, the excitement is building for second event, which will kick off in Orlando, Florida, on Sunday. "It's going to be such a fantastic atmosphere which the athletes will draw from," U.K team captain Wiseman says. While Harry's hopes for the UK version were big "if he had said there would be the First Lady...

The Blacklist has got a lot of interesting story to draw from yet. There are all sorts of interesting things happening to these characters making them compelling. This episode, while not the most brilliant episode I have ever seen, did a lot of important character work and set up some interesting mysteries for the remainder of the season to explore. I wasn’t particularly excited or riveted by this episode, but I found it compelling nonetheless. This week on The Blacklist: Liz is notified when Tom is rushed to the hospital. Tom, once awakened, is questioned about the robbery. The task force searches for

Have you watched "Torque" and "Detention" director Joseph Kahn's HitFix-premiered "Power Rangers" fan film yet? As of this writing, you can still catch the Sfw version on YouTube. The Nsfw version, on the other hand? Apparently Vimeo's "Staff Pick of the Day" recommendation wasn't enough to keep the video-sharing site from taking it down -- presumably under pressure from "Power Rangers" copyright holder Saban Entertainment. "Saban is trying to shut Power/Rangers down," wrote Kahn on Twitter. "If you'd like to keep watching, tell them to stop harassing me." Indeed, despite satire being protected under the First Amendment -- that part of the Constitution which has allowed fan-made films to flourish online -- "Power/Rangers" seems to be under attack in part, perhaps, due to its affiliation with a known Hollywood director. "Hey @vimeo my Power/Rangers short you took down is protected under fair/use/free speech/satire,...

Hell hath no fury like a former B613 commander scorned, huh?
As "Scandal" roared back into action on Thursday (Feb. 27), the show made one thing abundantly clear: Eli Pope will not go quietly unto that good night. Whatever misguided notions Fitz had about the ease with which he could remove Liv's dad from his post -- from his power -- well, they've left the President with one more terrifying enemy.
Picking up right where the show left us last December, Fitz and his team are reacting to Sally Langston's egregious announcement that she'll be running for president as a third-party independent candidate. Oh, and she has no plans to step down as veep as she does so. That shouldn't be awkward or anything.
Sally's lack of loyalty is the final straw for Fitz, who's seen his trust betrayed and taken for granted repeatedly throughout the series, so he begins to...

At only 9 years old, Quvenzhane (Kuh-vahn-zuh-nay) Wallis is the youngest ever Best Actress nominee for an Academy Award. Her portrayal of Hushpuppy in the magically poignant "Beasts of the Southern Wild" earned her many accolades, but her nomination was polarizing. Is she too young? Is it too soon? Shouldn't actors with more experience and a substantial body of work deserve the honor?
Be that as it may, Quvenzhane is in the race and may go up onstage this Sunday. In case that happens, here are some tips she can borrow from past Best Actress winners and their unforgettable speeches:
Takeaways from Julia Roberts (who won in 2000 for "Erin Brockovich"): Be funny, be humble, keep it short and do not go overboard with the thanks (the clock is there for a reason).
Takeaways from Halle Berry (who won in 2001 for "Monster's Ball"): Crying is totally understandable, but try to get some words in.

With the end of the Harry Potter saga and the Twilight series about to wrap up, Hollywood is ripe for a new movie franchise to take their place. After several attempts, Lionsgate came out on top with this summer's highly successful The Hunger Games. Obsessed fans can now watch their favorite characters battle it out with each other anytime they want thanks to the release of the movie on Blu-ray and DVD.
For those who live under a rock, the Hunger Games are an annual event that pit children from different districts against each other in a battle to the death. Sixteen-year-old Katniss Evergreen must rely on her training and archery skills to survive and return to her family. Her feelings for another competitor in the deadly Games complicate matters.
Everything about this movie is thought-provoking. It also contains layers of social commentary which add to its allure for teens and adults alike.

Chicago – Can a Blu-ray be both great and a likely placeholder for a future Special Edition? “The Hunger Games” makes that case. The lack of a commentary track or deleted scenes (and Lionsgate’s double-dipping track record) lead one to believe that a Special Edition will likely hit stores in conjunction with “Catching Fire” but this is still a great release with hours of special features and a stellar HD video and audio transfer. And the movie has held up well since its wave of publicity has subsided in favor of Summer blockbusters. It’s a great flick, one of the best Hollywood films of 2012 to date.

Before The Avengers set the box office on fire earlier this month, it was all about The Hunger Games, which has made an impressive run at almost $400 million in North American sales ($650 million globally). The key to that success was the young fans of Suzanne Collins’ novel of the same name and ever-increasing star of one Jennifer Lawrence.
Come August, those young fans will have a chance to experience Panem and Katniss Everdeen’s coming-of-age tale right in the comfort of their homes with The Hunger Games on Blu-ray and DVD. Taking a cue from The Twilight Saga, The Hunger Games home video packages will get a special midnight release on August 18.
For those that go beyond just the viewing of the movie itself, here’s a look at cover art, a trailer and bonus features on both the DVD and Blu-ray releases:

Boasting the box office spotlight before the “The Avengers” behemoth came along, “The Hunger Games” nonetheless found a worthy adaptation in director Gary Ross' hands, mixing a stellar performance by Jennifer Lawrence with an effectively gripping tone throughout. After an IMAX victory lap following its general release, Lionsgate is eager to keep the money train rolling, announcing that the two-disc Blu-ray/DVD and digital download versions of the film will be released this summer.
What's most notable about the Blu-ray release (via THR) is an eight-part documentary titled “The World is Watching: Making of The Hunger Games,” which delves comprehensively into the various stages of production required to bring the book to life. Adding up to a total of three hours, other features include separate interviews with Ross and actor Donald Sutherland, an examination of the book's influence on pop culture, and a look into the awkwardly conceived...

The Hunger Games started the 2012 theatrical season with a bang. While many horror fans and general public wrote it off as another Twilight-esque teen melodrama, director Gary Ross and actress Jennifer Lawrence really elevated the film above what could have been a mediocre, bloated story. I never read the story and I really dug the movie quite a bit while Michael read the story and also liked the film.

The Hunger Games – The World is Watching Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen
One of the initial complaints when rabid fans of The Hunger Games novels discovered actress Jennifer Lawrence would be their big screen Katniss Everdeen was that the actress was simply too pretty to be Katniss. That sentiment is pretty positive for a complaint. All I know is the actress is looking very nice in today’s exciting final film poster. In fact, she looks great, to me! I have zero complaints thus far.
This may become the last new poster we see before the film’s March 23rd debut. It captures the story’s mood through the use of a dark color palette and accentuates the idea that Katniss is the girl who was on fire. That’s the way audiences will remember her. A very serious Katniss is depicted in close up, taking aim with her trusty bow and arrow.
